I feel very fortunate that my work is my passion, which fascinates me and makes me incredibly enthusiastic. As a child I was always asking “Why?”. The question “Why do people do what they do?” never let me go. I was especially fascinated by how this works in an artificially created context of organizations where many of us spend a vital part of our time. That was my motivation to study work and organizational psychology.
Due to our enormous welfare, we are increasingly wondering what the added value of an organization is, especially for society and the environment. A hopeful shift in which leaders play an essential role by constantly being challenged to make choices which fit their values, are beneficial for their company and the environment. I consider leaders as the bearers of organizational culture who have the power to change and to return to the purpose of a company within the society.
You see me smiling when I can help leaders to connect with the people who are the foundation of the organization. I believe that we can only make an impact together. Connection with one another means connection with yourself in the first place. By making real connection within the organizational context, we will be able to discuss the meaning of work for the individual and let people experience that they contribute to the bigger picture. I like to challenge people to make courageous choices, zoom out and then take the first step that suits their own needs and identity.
